Services and Rates

In my 12 year career as a massage therapist I have never found two bodies that are exactly the same. Each body is unique! Why should your massage experience be anything less? Here at Therapeutic Massage & Bodyworks you will never find a "one size fits all" approach to your massage therapy treatments. I customize each treatment to focus on your individual needs. I am trained in several massage modalities and I use a varied technique approach to bodywork treatments to deliver the best quality in therapeutic massage.*

I offer therapeutic massage for pain management, pregnancy, athletes, relaxation and stress relief, headache relief, rehabilitative care, hot stones therapy, clinical massage and on-site massage.

Pain Management/Rehabilitative Care-Chronic and acute pain can be debilitating and lower your quality of life. Studies have shown that massage is extremely effective in decreasing pain levels, establishing better range of motion, and improving overall health. Massage can be used to treat pain, fatigue, and tension associated with a wide variety of health conditions with little to no side effects.* Massage is a great addition to other rehabilitative modalities such as physical therapy and chiropractic care. Light, moderate or deep tissue massage can be performed according to your relaxation and pain-management needs.

Pregnancy -Pregnancy is a joyous event, but it is also a time of tremendous change for a woman's body. Pain, tension, fatigue, and mood swings go hand in hand when you're expecting. Regular massage during pregnancy can lower pain levels, increase flexibility, improve quality of sleep, lower blood pressure, decrease swelling and promote overall wellness. I am certfied as a Pre and Perinatal Massage Therapist, so you can be confident that you are receiving the best care for you and your baby during your massage treatments. A semi-reclined and side lying position are used during treatments to keep both mom and baby safe throughout your session. This massage is particularly effective for any mommy-to-be that suffers from low back and/or sciatic nerve pain related to pregnancy.**

Post-Partum Massage-Don't forget about yourself after the arrival of your bundle of joy! Being a new mom can add unfamiliar stresses on the body all while it is trying to recover from the changes of pregnancy and the hard work of your delivery. Massage can help to soothe and balance the body post-partum. And, don't worry about child care while you are getting a massage! New moms are encouraged to bring their babies along with them to their post-partum treatments. You're even welcome to put the baby onto the table with you and breastfeed while we perform side-lying work. Bringing the baby along will give you the opportunity to learn a few infant massage techniques as well that can really help you learn to soothe your little one in those first few weeks. This is a great gift idea for baby showers so don't forget to give your mommy-to-be the gift of relaxation!

Just take a look at this link for a detailed list of the dangers of stress from the American Institute of Stress!  http://www.stress.org/topic-effects.htm. Many Americans live and work in an environment of chronic stress. Massage can do much to alleviate stress and tension and with regular treatments, reverse its adverse effects on the body. Headache Relief-Don't let headaches steal even one more minute of your life! Tension and migraine headaches are definitely painful, but they can also take hours or even days from your everyday life. I have had great sucess with treating clients for headache pain. Regular massage treatments can reduce the frequency, duration and intensity of headaches. I use a treatment of trigger point therapy combined with hot and cold compresses to alleviate headaches and tension in the jaw, neck, shoulders and scalp. Many people find that the initial massage relieves headache tension as well as decreases pain. You may choose to follow up with regular maintainance treatments to keep headaches from recurring.
