About the Practitioner

The Massage Therapist:

Hello! My name is Shanna Horne. I graduated from a 1000 hour massage apprenticeship program in 2003. I am a Nationally Certified and Georgia State Licensed massage therapist. I am a member of the Asssociated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP) and I am currently serving as an active member of the Moultrie Technical College Neuromuscular Massage Therapy Program Advisory Board. I have also previously served as a past advisory board member for the Miller-Motte Technical College Massage Therapy Program in Columbus, GA. I have been serving the Colquitt County area with great quality customized therapeutic massage since 2004.

Although massage is my career, it is also my passion. I work hard to provide quality experiences and lasting relationships with all of my clients to give you the absolutely best massages possible. I endeavor to increase my knowledge of the massage profession through regular continuing education opportunities. I am certain that the more I know about the body and bodywork, the better equipped I am to give you the massage experience that you deserve. Below is a list of training that I have completed so far.

-Pre and Perinatal Massage Therapy
-Labor Doula Training
-Postitional Release Techniques for Muscle and Joint Problems
-Hot Stone Therapy
-Myofascial Release
-Medical Massage
-Effective Treatment & Prevention of Running Injuries
-Sports Massage

About Me:

I believe that a large part of the experience of receiving a great massage is how well you know, trust, and like your therapist. Because of that, I would like you to know a little about me before your first treatment.

I am originally from Lee County, Georgia. My parents and grandparents still live there. I made my way to Moultrie, Georgia after marrying my husband, John in 2003. John is a Colquitt County native, born and bred. He was convinced that this was one of the best places to raise a family. I agreed wholeheartedly and in February of 2009 we welcomed our first son, Phineas (Phin) to our family. We added to our joy with the birth of our second son, Levi in February of 2014. They are our greatest adventure. All of us love Moultrie for its beautiful downtown, quiet small town southern atmosphere, and most importantly the people that we live and work with here. We hope you agree and that you'll come and meet us at Therapeutic Massage & Bodyworks in the near future.
